Gum is a 2023 short dark comedy directed by Alasdair Melrose and produced by Dutch London Pictures. It depicts a grim, near-future world in which the elderly are encouraged to voluntarily end their lives by chewing a special chewing gum and where a disposal drone comes along to remove the human remains, car and all.

I was commissioned to design and animate the disposal drone and the producers were happy with my initial ink drawings, so we proceeded quickly onto the modelling stage, for which I used Maya. The UV texture mapping was created with Photoshop.
